Program Director - Director of Residential Services- IDD

Brian's House, Inc. is seeking a Program Director to oversee residential programs for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The role involves monitoring staff, planning daily activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

Direct ongoing supervision of the Program Supervisor(s) and residential staff
Planning, organizing and overseeing daily activities for individuals at designated residential sites
Attending or charting appropriate in-house and out-of-house meetings with relevant service professionals to coordinate individual programming planning and activities and relay necessary information to staff, (i.e., IPPs, IWPPs, PT, OT, Speech Therapy, etc.)
Complete training of Carelogic and be able to navigate with ease census, program and medical documentation, adding staff, deleting notes on a timely basis
Coordination of completion of individual assessments
Coordination of development and review of individual program plans
Development of planned program activities
Ensuring the implementation of IPP's and program activities
Meets regularly with Chief Executive Officer to review programmatic and budgetary matters
Reviews and ensures resident accounts and program petty cash are managed correctly and according to policy
Conduct staff training and monitor all other staff training
Conduct staff/resident investigations
Conduct intake referral interviews
Coordination of all medical needs with Medical Coordinator
Completing forms and paperwork as required for programs, licensing bodies, and personnel issues, on a timely basis
Submitting reports and personnel forms or written information to the appropriate department on a timely basis
Monitoring the proper completion of individual and program inventories
Ensuring the daily upkeep and maintenance of the physical site in accordance with licensing body specifications
Monitoring and reporting program site maintenance needs on a timely basis
Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of company vehicles
Responding appropriately to on-call during specified segments of time, as assigned
Develops and implements permanent program work schedules (slots) of designated programs
Reviews and approves recorded work hours on Kronos for all assigned staff and monitors the use of overtime
Implementation of disciplinary policy for all program staff within designated programs in conjunction with Human Resources
Interviewing applicants, as needed, and approving/disapproving new employees to work in designated program sites
Evaluating staff performance on an ongoing basis and recommending commendation or disciplinary action, as appropriate
Coordination or completion of yearly evaluations for all program staff
Performing other responsibilities or designated special projects as directed by the Chief Executive Officer

Required

Experience working with different software databases related but not limited to Electronic Health Records (EHR -Care logic), Incident management (HCSIS), Time keeping (Kronos) and Staff training (Relias) is a plus
Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of professionals
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage several residential group homes in accordance to the 6400 regulations and stipulated organizational policies and procedures
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to exercise sound independent judgment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and time management skills
Extensive knowledge of the 6400 regulations and of the protocols of the intellectual developmental disability service system
Ability to verbally communicate effectively with individuals, employers, business owners, staff and professional agencies in order to maintain efficient operation of agency business
Ability to be flexible and respond effectively to emergency situations or changing circumstances as needed
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Able to read, write, follow verbal and written directions, prepare written and electronic reports on a daily basis, complete written and electronic forms in English
Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and one year work experience working directly with persons with intellectual developmental disabilities
Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university and two years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual developmental disabilities
An Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and four years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual developmental disabilities
An appropriate combination of scholastic and professional qualifications plus significant references to profile a candidate appropriately for the position
