Researcher - Spinal Cord & Brain Injury Faculty

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a tenure-track faculty member for the Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center (SCoBIRC) focused on neurotrauma research. Candidates will develop and sustain an externally funded research program in areas such as traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, benefiting from competitive start-up funds and a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain an externally funded research program that complements and enhances the Center’s strengths in neurotrauma
Focus on mechanistic or translational research in metabolism, autonomic systems, glia, inflammation, neural repair, plasticity, regeneration, chronic recovery, or post-traumatic epilepsy
Submit a curriculum vitae, cover letter, a statement of research interests, and the names of three references

Candidates must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree
