NEOGOV is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Environmental Protection Compliance Specialist within the Department of Environmental Protection. This position focuses on processing and tracking enforcement actions related to surface mine coal and industrial minerals, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations to protect public health and natural resources.

Responsibilities

Processing, tracking, and drafting all enforcement actions related to surface mine coal and industrial minerals

Ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations designed to safeguard both the environment and public health and safety

Managing treatment trust funds and maintaining accurate data concerning water treatment liabilities

Qualification

Required

One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities

This position requires the possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

You must meet the PA residency requirement

You must be able to perform essential job functions
