Bench Technician

The Bench Technician is responsible for cleaning, repairing, troubleshooting, and preparing gaming and related equipment for deployment or decommissioning in accordance with company and regulatory specifications.

Responsibilities

Move Video Gaming Terminals (slot machines), Ticket Redemption Machines, Automatic Teller Machines, Amusement Devices, and associated equipment between transport trucks, warehouse storage, and equipment preparation areas
Disassemble obsolete or damaged equipment, then test and clean removed parts
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, clean, and perform repairs on electronic gaming devices, Ticket Redemption Machines, Automatic Teller Machines, Amusement Equipment, machine parts, and associated equipment
Install and remove locks on video gaming terminals, Ticket Redemption Machines, Automatic Teller Machines, and Amusement Devices
Identify and communicate inventory needs for equipment to ensure minimal downtime and quick turnaround of product
Observe all safety regulations and reports unsafe conditions to management
Follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures

Required

Must be able to obtain a DOT Certification
Must demonstrate an ability to understand basic electronic theory and mechanics
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and instruments
Able to obtain forklift certification and use non-powered dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
Versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
At least 21 years of age
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Terminal Handler's License from the Illinois Gaming Board

Preferred

2 years of electronic technical training
2 years of slot technician/video gaming terminal, ATM, or amusement equipment experience, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and equipment
