They are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and manage payroll activities while supporting various accounting processes.

Responsibilities

Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments related to the operations

Reconcile general ledger accounts, including inventory, cost of goods sold, freight, and vendor accruals

Manage accounts receivable and billing process

Prepare the filing of the monthly sales tax and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments related to sales tax

Process semi monthly payroll, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and 401(k) contributions

Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws

Manage accounts payable

Bank reconciliation

Month-end closing process – including analytical analyses of revenues, cost of goods sold, customers, and suppliers

File and reconcile payroll taxes and other statutory reports

Support external audits by providing documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls
