Responsibilities
Lead and manage appellate matters from issue preservation through final disposition
Draft, review, and refine appellate briefs, motions, and petitions in state and federal courts
Present oral arguments before appellate courts as required
Advise trial teams on appellate strategy and issue preservation
Conduct advanced legal research and analysis on complex legal issues
Review trial court records to identify appealable issues
Mentor and guide junior attorneys on appellate practice and strategy
Qualification
Required
Approximately 20 years of experience in appellate litigation
Extensive experience handling appeals in both state and federal appellate courts
Proven track record of drafting high-quality appellate briefs and motions
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, high-level legal matters
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
