Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk
Point Park University is seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk to assist in various accounting and reporting functions. The role involves data entry, budget monitoring, and ensuring compliance with university policies.

Responsibilities
Audit and review expenditures for proper G/L account coding, University policy compliance, budget fund availability, and reasonableness. Expectations are to make corrections and modifications when necessary, including budget reallocations in the ERP system
Review and process expense reports and employee expense reimbursements
Complete bank reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile travel advances
Input journal entries into the accounting system for the monthly and year-end close process
Process, post, and reconcile prepaid expenses
Create, input and maintain excel spreadsheets related to various budgetary accounts
Assist with year-end close and prepare schedules/respond to requests as needed
Serve as backup to other staff in the Business Office as needed
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required
One or more years related work experience in a higher education, non-profit, or mid-sized company environment preferred
Applicant must possess excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite with a strong background in Excel
Knowledge of network general ledger systems and report writing software a plus
