Assistant Program Manager Logistics

Responsibilities
Lead the creation of a Logistics Plan that supports Operational Availability (AO) targets
Incorporate Customer data, historical practices, and program-specific logistics requirements
Define tasks to support maintenance, supply chain, training, and support equipment infrastructure
Ensure the plan supports long-term sustainment and cost-effective readiness strategies
Assist Customer with shipboard installation activities, including scheduling, coordination, and logistical support
Support equipment onboarding and offboarding during system installs, upgrades, or removals
Manage inventory, shipping, and staging activities related to system deployment across multiple cutter locations
Coordinate parts movement with DHS cutter schedules and port availability
Source and manage subcontractors for specific portions of logistics deliverables
Monitor performance, adjust scopes, and negotiate pricing as needed
Collaborate with Customer to ensure alignment on deliverables, cost, and schedule
Maintain a shared understanding of responsibilities, especially for installation support
Provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders
Document risks, issues, and mitigation plans
Collaborate across program and technical teams to ensure consistent execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Program Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience in logistics analysis, subcontractor management, or government documentation development, preferably within defense programs
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in tools used for technical documentation and logistics management, such as SharePoint, Visio, Excel/Power Bi and MS Office Suite
Familiarity with government logistics systems and processes, including NSN assignment and lifecycle sustainment planning
