They are looking for a self-motivated individual to join their team as a Commodity Broker/LRP Agent, where responsibilities include executing transactions, communicating with clients, and developing new customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Execute futures and options transactions specifically requested by the customer
Communicate with clients on market changes/sell signals/options strategies as necessary
Assist customers in the formulation and implementation of appropriate hedging or speculative strategies
Develop new customers to grow existing customer base (phone, meetings, on farm visits)
Collaborate with Customer Service Managers to maintain up to date records of customer information
Comply with all NFA, industry compliance regulations and company rules
Conduct and/or participate in radio/print/media/TV appearances as opportunities exist to promote both broker and firm
Conduct marketing seminars to promote individual portfolio growth and promote firm image and growth
Contribute to publications/recorded services/other promotions as needed to build business
Be available for customer calls and questions
This is a full-time position. Brokers should enjoy working in an office environment and speaking to farmers all day

Required

Bachelor's degree required (Ag Business or Ag Finance preferred but others accepted)
Currently holds a Series 3 License
Must have proven ability to develop long term relationships with clients via phone/face-to-face/written communication
Strong prospecting and sales skills (ex: networking, seminars, or cold calling)
Must be able to keep confidential information and perform in a trustworthy and ethical manner
Must have excellent computer skills
Must be able to take initiative and solve problems

Preferred

Prior livestock/grain marketing/hedging/client relations or similar experience preferred
