Responsibilities
Schedule meetings, reserve conference rooms, and coordinate meals and travel arrangements
Prepare itineraries and process travel expense reports
Draft and process new matter documents and legal correspondence
Manage time entry and coordinate billing with the accounting department
Maintain paper and electronic files in compliance with firm policies
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including specialized services and faxes
Maintain attorney calendars and manage scheduling conflicts
Support attorneys with administrative tasks and document preparation using legal software
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a legal secretary or practice assistant
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, documents, and processes
Accurate typing speed of 70+ words per minute
Proficiency in MS Office and legal software for document management, time entry, and e-filing
Excellent proofreading and organizational skills
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team
Must be able to work onsite at the Indianapolis office
Preferred
Prior experience in labor and employment law
Proficient in electronic filing in both the state and federal courts here in Indiana
