Sales Engineer
Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is a full-service plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC service company seeking a driven Sales Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities
Provides leadership and support for the corporate safety program
Participate in continuous department improvement objectives to develop improved procedures and practices
Review blueprints, plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare design solutions and their accompanying financial and operational cost estimates
Review contract documents and ascertain the scope of our work and any unique aspects of each project
Effectively convey job bid intent to Project Manager. Sets up project files, schedules hand-off meetings, communicates project scope and schedule to all stakeholders. Distributes project information and construction documents accordingly
Promote and sell mechanical contracting design/build construction services
Work in conjunction with design engineering and estimating to provide necessary information to close sales with clients
Coordinates with PM to provide work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of projects
Coordinates activities of department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy
Meet with potential client representatives to present and explain the benefits and efficiency of engineered services offered
Develop, maintain and service existing client base
Identify and develop new client contacts through promotional literature, research and cold calls
Present design solutions and proposals to clients
Meet Yearly sales quotas
Propose changes in equipment and/or use of materials resulting in cost reductions and/or operational improvements
Identify, track and forecast project opportunities
Qualification
Required
4 year technical degree or equivalent work experience
Technical knowledge that will enable effective communication regarding HVAC and plumbing systems to owners and general contractors
Training, knowledge and an understanding of effective sales processes
Ability to design and layout HVAC/Plumbing systems
Ability to accurately estimate and price HVAC/Plumbing projects
Ability to visit job/project sites and company representatives to review progress and scope of work
Ability to climb stairs/ladders to access job/project site areas as needed
Punctual and regular attendance
Team player and positive change practitioner
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret requests for proposals
Ability to interface with technical and non-technical personnel
Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualifications
