Responsibilities
Building models, strategies, and systems that price and trade a variety of financial instruments
Analyzing large datasets
Building and testing models
Creating new trading strategies
Writing the code that implements models and strategies
Shaping the firm's future ML developments including hiring new ML researchers, attending conferences, teaching techniques to teammates, and setting firmwide goals
Qualification
Required
Deep ML experience in either an applied or academic context
Deep understanding of a wide variety of ML techniques
Passion for tinkering with model architectures, feature transformations, and hyperparameters
Ability to generate robust inferences
Good communication skills
Ability to quickly absorb the context of a new problem
Ability to carefully consider tradeoffs and recommend possible solutions
Preferred
Experience in building models, strategies, and systems that price and trade financial instruments
Experience in analyzing large datasets
Experience in building and testing models
Experience in creating new trading strategies
Experience in writing code that implements models and strategies
Experience in shaping ML developments including hiring new ML researchers
Experience in attending conferences and teaching techniques to teammates
Experience in setting firmwide goals
