Responsibilities
Lead the development and expansion of our mission-critical and data center civil engineering practice
Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, hyperscalers, EPC contractors, utilities, and energy partners
Identify new market opportunities, lead pursuits, and support proposal development and interviews
Advise internal teams and clients on market trends, site selection considerations, and emerging technologies, including SMRs and advanced power solutions
Provide technical oversight and leadership for large, campus-style mission-critical developments, including:
Mass grading and earthwork planning
Drainage, hydrology, and floodplain analysis (H&H)
Utility layout, routing, and coordination (water, wastewater, power, telecom)
Roadways, access planning, and circulation
Stormwater management and permitting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
12+ years of civil engineering experience, with significant focus on data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure
Proven experience leading teams, managing clients, and driving business growth
Strong understanding of site development, utilities, and permitting in Texas
Experience or exposure to energy infrastructure, substations, or power-intensive facilities
Preferred
Master's degree in civil engineering
Texas PE or ability to obtain
