Responsibilities

Independently manage all administrative immigration programs and related functions, activities and operations within a Regional Office
Direct the Region's adjudication programs and related functions in accordance with broad program objectives and policies established by USCIS Headquarters and higher-level supervisors
Participate in the development and implementation of short and long-term program goals for the Region, and analyze any issues related to their implementation
Provide comprehensive information, analysis and recommendations regarding operational and policy issues that merit attention and may serve as the basis for new systems, legislation, regulations or programs
Manage oversight on administrative functions, such as personnel management, labor relations, training, financial management, facilities, property management, health and safety, and emergency preparedness

Required

You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to apply for this position
Successfully pass a Background Investigation including financial disclosure
You must pass a drug screening
You must submit resume and supporting documentation
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service
You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position
You must have experience performing the following duties: Supervising and managing a program and team of subordinate employees; Providing technical and administrative supervision to subordinates engaged in programs administering immigration benefits and services, processing citizenship applications and family and employment-based petitions and registration; Serving as an expert and adviser to Leadership in developing, analyzing, and/or implementing policies, programs, regulations and short and long-range plans; Reviewing and analyzing production management reports related to the adjudication workload; Preparing written and oral communication to advance the strategic objectives of a District or Field Office
Selected candidates are required to attend and successfully complete the USCIS Immigration Service Officer Basic (ISO BASIC) Training Program located with the USCIS Academy Training Center in Charleston, SC
