The Production Support Associate will support manufacturing and operations by preparing, assembling, polishing, inspecting, and measuring molded ferrules to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare fiber optic connectors, ferrules, and assemblies for inspection and testing

Perform ferrule length and end face geometry measurements on connectors

Conduct initial optical performance testing and share findings with the Production Support Technician

Record and document test results using Microsoft Excel

Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations

Read and follow technical drawings, layouts, and manuals for accurate assembly

Use cable cutting machines to cut fiber optic ribbons and cables to specified lengths

Perform precise measurements using micrometers, interferometers, and inspection scopes

Maintain lab tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean, safe, and organized condition
