5+ years expC2 Technology Group, located in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking highly experienced Network Cabling Field Technicians. The role involves installing and certifying low voltage cabling infrastructure while managing a crew of installers and interacting with project managers and engineers.

Responsibilities
Work generally consists of installation of UTP, fiber optic, multi-conductor copper cabling infrastructure, test/certify permanent links, and complete necessary installation and quality assurance reports
Perform surveys, plan tasks, and manage a crew of installers
Complete necessary job site safety reports
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in the low voltage/telecommunications field
A high degree of low-voltage knowledge
Cabling experience with LAN, inter-building backbone, security, and audio/video
Verifiable credentials supporting knowledge and experience
Experience with installation of UTP, fiber optic, multi-conductor copper cabling infrastructure
Ability to test/certify permanent links and complete necessary installation and quality assurance reports
Ability to interact with project managers and engineers, perform surveys, plan tasks, and manage a crew of installers
Experience and character references subject to verification
Experience with typical industry recognized certification and test equipment, tools, and processes
Basic computer skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Willingness to promote and maintain a safe working environment
Ability to complete necessary job site safety reports
Familiarity with safe use of various types of portable ladders and elevated work platforms
Ability to lift and move loads up to 60 pounds
Ability to bend, stoop, and move in tight and confined spaces
Ability to work while standing for long periods
Ability to work in industrial environments in various degrees of heat and cold
Familiarity with safe operation of drills, saws, and various hand tools
Comfortable working at heights from various types of portable ladders and elevated work platforms
Good communications skills
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to distinguish industry recognized colors
Preferred
BICSI credentials considered a plus
