InternProfessional Engineering Consultants is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with design on multiple projects. The role involves performing standard engineering calculations and preparing design deliverables using BIM/CAD software and hand calculations.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Project Engineer or Design Engineer, performs the following:
Design calculations by hand and by computer software
Drafting/modeling of engineering design
Coordination with other design staff
Construction document and specification production in compliance with applicable building codes/design criteria
Reviews project deliverables for compliance with design checklists and drafting standards
Organize project information and files according to corporate standard practices and workflows
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a BS degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
Ability to work independently and with others
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong work ethic
Experience with computer aided drafting and modeling using industry accepted software
Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
Preferred
Student entering junior or senior year preferred
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
