Tradesworker I - Facilities Management

Responsibilities
Work with hand tools and power tools to perform various maintenance duties
Duties may include lawn maintenance if needed
Move and assemble furniture
Working nights and weekends may be required due to workloads
Must be able to work with other employees and maintain a positive work attitude
This is an essential position, and an employee will be required to work during and after hurricanes and other disasters if needed
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or GED and 4 years of working experience, or an equivalent combination of formal education and working experience
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License
Knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, and tools of one or more of the building trades
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade
Ability to interpret drawings and plans
Ability to use and care for tools, equipment, and materials of the trades to which assigned
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to work with little supervision and make logical decisions
Preferred
Prefer license for a skilled trade but not needed to qualify for position
