Responsibilities
Assist new product design team in the creation, modeling, prototyping, assembly, testing, evaluation, refining/improving, documenting, and releasing for production as required by the design team
Ability to learn and experience many technical subjects from CAD modeling, design evaluation, prototype fabrication, lab testing, and more in a non-production-based environment
Construction, assembly, and hands-on evaluation of prototypes
Interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
Embrace the dynamics of a professional engineering working environment and the role a Mechanical Design Engineer plays in helping the engineering team create and document their projects
Qualification
Required
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Two years of higher education must be completed – (entering Junior or Senior year education as of Spring 2026)
SolidWorks CAD experience required
Ability to lift material weighing upwards of 40 lbs
Local to Minnesota or able to relocate without assistance to the Minnetonka, MN area
Preferred
3D printing experience highly desired
Experience operating a variety of machine shop tools, including lathes, milling machines, water jets, lasers, press brakes, and welders
Completed Junior year of education preferred
