Responsibilities

Interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design
Create the high-level design artifacts
Deliver high quality code deliverables for a module
Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty
Participate in review meetings with Client, Customer and Suppliers
Provide technical solutions from conceptual to detailed design stage
Generate and review Engineering Stress reports

Required

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Wichita, KS or be willing to relocate to the area
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
At least 4 years of experience in Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer
Comprehensive knowledge Stress analysis of Aero structures, Nacelle and EBU systems
Experience in performing Static, fatigue and dynamic stress analysis for Aero structures
Experience in use of classical hand calculation approach to analyze both primary and secondary structures
Experience in providing technical solutions from conceptual to detailed design stage
Use of Finite Element Methods for load extraction and to solve complex engineering problems
Participate in review meetings with Client, Customer and Suppliers
Experience in Engineering Stress report generation and review

Preferred

Experience in metallic and Composites structural analysis
Experience in Load, stress calculations and preparing technical reports
Experience in Finite Element Analysis tools (Nastran, Patran)
Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance calculations
Experienced in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP
Experience in MRB and SRM
Experience in CATIA V5, Enovia
Interact with customer; prepare Scope of Work, laydown the execution methodology to ensure that the projects executed meet the customer requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements
