Market Development Specialist

GMR Marketing is an experience agency focused on creating unforgettable brand stories. They are seeking a Market Development Specialist to support a large tobacco client in Seattle, WA, primarily responsible for contracting new venues and events for marketing activations while maintaining relationships with existing venues.

Responsibilities

Contracting new venues and events for marketing activations
Supervise contracting efforts
Maintain relationships with new and existing venues
Support other departments and participate in special projects as needed
Assist with urgent needs
Coordinate contracting efforts across the market
Maintain open lines of communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Oversee the contracting efforts, ensuring all activities align with company standards and objectives
Set and reach contracting goals, ensuring a steady pipeline of venues and events
Handle backend administrative tasks, including documentation, reporting, and data management
Conduct market research to identify potential venues and events
Track and report on the effectiveness of contracting efforts
Ensure all contracting activities comply with relevant laws and regulations

Required

Identify and secure new venues and events for marketing activations
Negotiate and finalize contracts to meet company goals
Coordinate contracting efforts across the market, working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution
Flexibility is required to assist with Nightlife Markets
You are available during M - F 8a - 5p (Occasional Weekends) (may need to work outside these hours should business needs arise cross channels, nightlife channels may run as late 2am)
Maintain open lines of communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution
You must be 21 or older and are comfortable with working for a tobacco / nicotine brand
Maintain and improve relationships with new and existing venues through regular communication and follow-ups
Oversee the contracting efforts, ensuring all activities align with company standards and objectives
Set and reach contracting goals, ensuring a steady pipeline of venues and events
Handle backend administrative tasks, including documentation, reporting, and data management
Conduct market research to identify potential venues and events, staying informed about industry trends and opportunities
Track and report on the effectiveness of contracting efforts, providing insights for continuous improvement
Ensure all contracting activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including labor laws and industry standards
