Fire Alarm Installer

Control Systems, Inc is seeking an experienced and reliable Fire Alarm Installer to oversee and execute the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. This role involves leading a team of technicians, ensuring code compliance, and delivering high-quality installations on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead fire alarm installation crews on job sites
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
Plan daily installation activities, manage workflow, and ensure compliance with NFPA codes, AHJ requirements, and company standards
Install, wire, program, and test fire alarm systems including panels, detectors, pull stations, notification devices, etc
Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, and other trades to ensure proper integration and scheduling
Perform quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot system issues
Document installations, service reports, and code compliance paperwork
Train and mentor junior installers and apprentices
Maintain project schedule and track progress using project management tools or logs
Ensure crew follows safety procedures, site regulations, and proper use of PPE
Report progress and issues to Project Manager or Operations leadership
Interface with clients and AHJs during inspections or system handovers

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 4–6 years of experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Denver Fire Alarm License
Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, local fire codes, and industry best practices
Proficiency with systems from manufacturers like Notifier, Silent Knight, EST, Siemens, Gamewell, Honeywell, etc a MUST
Ability to use hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred

Vocational or technical training
NICET Level II
