American Seating Company is seeking an Upholstery Technician who will be responsible for making, repairing, and replacing upholstery for transportation vehicle seating. The role involves fitting and installing materials, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining equipment and workspace.

Responsibilities

Fits, installs, and secures material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, and/or staples

Reads and comprehends instructions and follows established procedures

Verifies all material and equipment needed to begin the process

Takes measurements and aligns material puts together parts to build more complex units using glue spray guns, air tools, clamps and other machinery or methods as required

Checks product to ensure quality standards are met

Maintains equipment and workspace is in good condition

Performs inventory transactions in the system as required

Inputs production quantities and time data

Create product and box labels

Reports on issues, malfunction, or defective parts

Other duties as assigned
