Ground Systems Technician (Contract)

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and commission ground systems installations at new and existing Zipline sites
Perform maintenance and upgrades with the goal of maximizing uptime and reliability
Work with engineering & cross-functional teams to document and resolve tickets
Manage accountability programs for tools, calibration equipment, and vehicles
Maintain records of installations, surveys, maintenance actions, and troubleshooting steps
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical standards, published manuals and SOPs
Successfully complete and continuously maintain all required training(s) and certifications

Required

Basic knowledge: mechanical, electrical, and basic office software
Attention to detail and compliance with installation standards and manuals
Organizational skills, inventory management, material handling equipment, Mechanical/Electrical assembly experience
Must be able to support shift work including, but not limited to days/evenings, weekends, etc. with travel up to 20%, as necessary
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and have a valid US Driver's License
Ability to lift and or move up to 55 pounds

Preferred

Desired knowledge: General construction, Electrical and Electrical Systems (to include network/low voltage)
Familiarity with material handling equipment (warehouse forklift, pallet jack)
Adaptability to changing work environments, technologies, and procedures
Ability to diagnose problems, develop and implement novel fixes to time-sensitive problems
Ability to read / interpret construction and technical drawings
Familiarity with material handling equipment and/or aerial lifts (warehouse forklift, pallet jack, scissor lifts)
