Responsibilities
Teach to several skill-based competencies to beginner learners, such as: Carpentry, Power Tool Mechanics, Carpentry Tools, Measuring & Marking, Material Selection & Lumber, Blueprint Reading, Floor and Wall Framing, Layout and Drywall techniques
Comfortable teaching in both classroom and lab with ~15 students. All training is to be delivered in-person
Knowledgeable on the construction trades and answer questions in classroom and lab environment
Teaching experience preferred, but not required. 3-years industry experience is required in place of any teaching experience
The selected candidate will be teaching ~15 students at a partnered education site
Selected candidate will have opportunity to tour the classroom and lab space with College representatives
Selected candidate must be available to teach Tuesday through Thursday, 1pm to 4
Training will begin in February 2026 and will end in April 2026
Full schedule provided to selected candidate
Schedule is non-negotiable, but available for review to interested candidates
Qualification
Required
3-years industry experience in construction trades
