Responsibilities
Develop and execute a company-wide data quality strategy aligned with business growth and compliance goals
Lead three specialized teams—Data Governance, Audit & Data Stewards, and Data Operations—totaling 10–20 professionals
Architect and scale automated governance controls, audit dashboards, and correction processes across enterprise systems
Present data quality metrics and insights to executive leadership and board-level committees
Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders including product, marketing, finance, and external partners
Establish performance metrics and accountability frameworks to maintain 99.5%+ data accuracy
Foster a culture of data excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement across all teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years' experience in data management, including 7+ years in leadership roles
5+ years' experience in enterprise data governance and quality management
Experience managing large-scale data initiatives in $1B+ software organizations
Expertise in data lake architectures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and big data technologies
Proficiency with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataRobot) and governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation)
Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
Experience with Salesforce, marketing, and finance data domains
Preferred
Advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field
Professional certifications in data management (CDMP, DAMA) or cloud platforms
Background in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software products
Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR) and audit processes
Exposure to AI applications in data validation and quality controls
