Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Repair: When a machine on the assembly line fails or starts producing defective parts, the technician is the first responder. They diagnose mechanical, electrical, or software issues (such as PLC programming errors)
Process Optimization: They look for "bottlenecks" in production. If a certain step is taking too long or creating too much waste, they collect and analyze data alongside the engineers to enable a redesign the workstation layout or suggest a different tool to speed things up
Quality Control: They conduct tests and measurements on finished goods to ensure they match the original engineering blueprints
Utilization of LEAN tools to compile data such as time studies, work instructions, etc…
Project Management: Manage small capital spend projects under the direction of manufacturing engineers to enable facility and process improvements
Safety: Champion a safety first mindset and lead by example
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of experience working within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Understanding of process improvement techniques and lean manufacturing principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI, ISO, or ASME is a plus
Proficiency in CAD software
