The role involves working with external consultants and government personnel, managing compliance activities, and preparing tax returns.

Responsibilities

Facilitate compliance activities with 3rd party return preparer through their external platform. This includes the management and reconciliation of reporting files and overseeing notices, inquiries and tax bills

Prepare miscellaneous transactional tax returns not outsourced, and check requests for outside AP provider

Gather and analyze data, information, and documentation for tax compliance, audit/reviews, certificate issuances, and other projects as assigned

Help to troubleshoot/perform miscellaneous account reconciliations and journal entries and other tax issues

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with 1 year of sales and use tax experience required

Knowledge of corporate and business unit accounting procedures

Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, including Excel, Access, and tax research software

Knowledge of Alteryx

Exemption Certificate Management

Vertex/Taxware software experience
