Maintenance Technician (Contractor)

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, ensuring the aircraft conforms to high standards, is in safe operating condition and that all procedures are followed and documented appropriately
Adhere to and perform work in accordance with Zipline’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP)
Perform UAS Maintenance in accordance with Zipline’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Federal Aviation Administration regulations
Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical and software
Mechanical and electrical integration and assembly experience
Experience performing precision work with hand tools
Must be able to support shift work including, but not limited to days/evenings, weekends, etc
Must be able to travel 5-10%, as necessary
Must be eligible to work in the U.S
Ability to lift and or move up to 55 pounds
Must have a valid US Driver's License
Must be able to receive FAA Repairmen Certification
This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive opportunity, and is therefore subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
Will experience 80% + travel in first 3 months including offsite/remote training
This is 6 month contract with an opportunity to move into a full time position

Preferred
Prior experience in aircraft maintenance or similar technician role
Experience in the use of manuals, training materials, and operational procedures for sUAS operations
Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers, resolving inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
