8+ years expBroadcom is seeking a talented and passionate Field Applications Engineer to join the Sales team and support the world’s leading cloud service providers, OEMs, and custom designs. This role involves working directly with customers to design solutions using Broadcom Storage and NIC products while providing training and support throughout the design process.

Responsibilities
Work with both customers and Broadcom’s System Applications Engineers to analyze, debug, & root cause issues found within Broadcom’s Storage and NIC products
Work with OEM and Cloud customers to properly integrate Broadcom’s Storage and NIC products into storage servers and custom designs
Help and guide customers through the design process including architecture reviews, schematic reviews, design-in support and training customers on product features
Establish firm relationships with the customers and internally to help advocate for new product features and expediting fixes for defects
Train customers on the software and tools required to manage the Broadcom products
Provide, as needed, on-site customer support to help with training and the debug of critical issues
Occasional travel expected
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or related field of study
Minimum of 8 years' experience working with Cloud service providers and/or server OEM customers to design complex Server and Storage applications
Hands-on, thorough knowledge of high-speed protocols like SAS, SATA, NVMe, Ethernet, PCIe
Silicon bring-up and debug experience in customer systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to provide clear and condensed notes and actions
Customer-oriented, goal-driven, self-motivated, must be able to work independently
Capable of maintaining focus in an ever changing environment
Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate technical solutions to customers and internal teams
Familiarity with Broadcom MegaRaid, HBA, Expander, and eNIC products
Preferred
Master's degree in engineering
