Product Manager, Morningstar API Center

Morningstar Sustainalytics is seeking a Product Manager for their API Center product within the Data & Research Solutions group. The role involves defining and leading the product strategy, roadmap, and development to provide clients access to Morningstar Data via API services, while collaborating closely with various teams to ensure a world-class user experience.

Responsibilities

Own the product development roadmap, prioritization, value proposition, and product development lifecycle for API Center
Provide dedicated business requirements for the product’s data, analytics, and workflow needs and prioritize conflicting work
Ensure product, operational, and customer service excellence through close coordination with Technology, Design, Client Service, and Operations teams
Contribute to sales-enablement and go-to-market planning
Work directly with product marketing, sales, and service to meet business and client deliverables within specified delivery dates
Demonstrate product capabilities to prospective clients, including functionality and methodology - serving as an expert for our internal stakeholders
Track and deliver against key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements of product success (product revenue, product profitability, customer satisfaction, quality, cost implications, forecasts, etc.)
Drive adoption of our newest product enhancements

Required

A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science or related field is required
A minimum of 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in technical software products, preferably with direct experience managing APIs or integration products
Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable product requirements
Strong technical acumen and familiarity with API design, developer experience (DX), API documentation, and API management tooling
Excellent oral and written communication, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
Work in an ambitious team with tight deadlines across multiple teams and locations

Preferred

Deep knowledge of Morningstar data, products, and the markets they serve is preferred
