Allen Distribution is seeking a Special Projects Technician & Support to assist in 3D printing additive manufacturing operations. This role involves operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting post-processing activities to ensure efficient production across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor 3D printing equipment according to standard procedures

Perform routine preventative maintenance (PMs) as scheduled and trained

Assist with printer setup, calibration, and material changes

Identify, document, and report equipment issues or abnormalities

Maintain basic equipment and maintenance records

Support daily production goals by helping keep machines running

Follow established workflows to minimize downtime

Assist with basic troubleshooting under guidance

Remove printed parts from machines and support structures

Clean, finish, and prepare parts using approved tools and methods

Perform basic part assembly and visual inspections

Ensure parts meet project and quality requirements

Handle materials and equipment according to safety guidelines

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Assist with inventory tracking of materials and consumables

Communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, and supervisors

Follow work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards

Support multiple projects and shifting priorities as needed
