Robot SE Engineer – Body Manufacturing
ADAPT Technology LLC is a US-based engineering and staffing company specializing in comprehensive engineering and manufacturing services. This role plays a critical part in launching new vehicle models by supporting robotic and automated body manufacturing processes, collaborating with teams to develop and implement efficient body shop processes.

Responsibilities
Facilitate deliverables for the Body Process Engineering Robot SE team during new model introductions
Support new model development by reviewing designs and providing early feedback during the design phase
Develop innovative robotic and automated process plans, including weld distribution strategies
Perform robotic welding feasibility studies using CATIA / DELMIA in a 3D environment
Identify risks and develop countermeasures to prevent issues during floor implementation
Support digital factory activities by aligning virtual plant models with actual floor conditions
Track and achieve key performance indicators for robotic and automation processes
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines
Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and digital teams to drive continuous improvement
Share feedback and best practices to support team development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering
OR Automation Maintenance Technician degree
OR 5+ years of equivalent technical experience supporting new model programs
Experience working in CATIA / DELMIA or similar 3D manufacturing environments
1+ year of experience with automated or robotic process equipment
1+ year of body shop production preparation and/or body design experience
General knowledge of vehicle body structures and manufacturing processes
Experience with robot offline teaching or simulation tools
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Ability to work weekends, holidays, shutdown periods, and evenings as needed to support project demands
Willingness to work overtime during peak periods (30–50% or more when required)
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams
Preferred
Advanced engineering degree
Experience in other manufacturing disciplines (Stamping, Paint, Assembly, etc.)
Body shop project or mass production experience
1+ year of simultaneous engineering experience
1+ year of experience within a body process engineering group
CATIA or DELMIA 3D manufacturing work: 2 years
Automated or robotic process equipment work: 2 years
Robot offline programming or simulation tools: 1 year
Body shop production or body design work: 1 year
Robotic welding feasibility or planning work: 2 years
New model launch or introduction support: 2 years
Manufacturing process planning or optimization: 2 years
Working with digital factory or virtual plant models: 1 year
Supporting multiple projects with tight deadlines: 2 years
Willingness to travel: 25%
