Responsibilities

Review insurance applications and related documents to evaluate risk
Analyze applicant data including financial status, medical history, and property details
Determine coverage amounts, premiums, and policy terms
Use underwriting software and guidelines to assess risk and make decisions
Collaborate with agents, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather additional information
Monitor existing policies for changes in risk and recommend adjustments
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and underwriting best practices
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Required

Proven experience as an insurance underwriter or in a similar role
