Responsibilities
Leads and participates in a variety of land survey work
Reviews, tracks, and maintains plan designs and/or other related engineering documents, which may include: reviewing plans for compliance with applicable rules, regulations, ordinances, and/or other related items; preparing plan review comments; monitoring changes; preparing recommendations based on findings; and/or performing other related activities
Issues and obtains necessary permits for construction projects
Tests and inspects construction materials; prepares documents and reports summarizing findings
Performs routine inspections of sites and infrastructure to gather information and monitor progress
Operates a variety of specialized tools and equipment
Maintains logs and records related to daily activities; maintains databases and files
Responds to requests for information from the general public; documents and disseminates findings
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Qualification
Required
Certificate in drafting, surveying, construction, inspection or a related field
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Four years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement
Preferred
Bridge Inspection Certification
Asphalt Plant Technician Certification
