Responsibilities

Performs advanced audits of contractor cost proposals, incurred cost submissions, pricing actions, and related cost representations
Evaluates the adequacy of contractor accounting systems and internal controls to determine compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
Assesses the allowability, allocability, and reasonableness of claimed costs under FAR, CAS, and agency-specific policies
Conducts risk assessments to determine the scope and depth of audit procedures required
Analyzes cost data, financial records, estimates, and supporting documentation to form audit conclusions
Prepares clear, well-supported audit reports that detail findings, conclusions, and recommendations
Presents audit results to internal leadership and, when appropriate, to contractor representatives and program offices as needed
Maintains accurate and complete audit workpapers in accordance with Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS)
Maintains and promotes awareness and accountability with safety policies and procedures while performing job functions. Promotes a positive safety culture and encourages reporting of safety concerns consistent with our Agency Safety Plan, other regulatory requirements within the Safety Management System and just culture principles

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Finance, or related field
Three (3) or more years of experience in auditing, cost analysis, or public accounting
Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAGAS
Proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing structured workpapers

Preferred

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
related profession certification (or progression toward certifications)
