Responsibilities

The operation of modeling software to analyze production cost, distribution and interconnection scenarios
Consulting with various stakeholders within the agency regarding modeling results and the implications they demonstrate
Providing a resource for the agency to independently evaluate utility filings and statewide resource planning scenarios consistent with ETA
This modeling capability would support the Commission’s role in reviewing utility integrated resource plans, grid modernization proposals, and other filings related to clean energy implementation

Required

Advanced knowledge and experience working with modeling software
Ability to analyze results from modeling scenarios
Degree: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related quantitative field
Experience: 5-10 years in power systems/energy modeling, with specific software experience (e.g., 5+ years in PROMOD/MAPS)
Analysis: Economic & techno-economic analysis, data analysis, risk assessment
Soft Skills: Communication, presentation, problem-solving, leadership, strategic thinking, ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
