IT Asset and Inventory Administrator (IT Professional IV)
Clark County is seeking an IT Asset and Inventory Administrator responsible for the centralized management and governance of technology assets across the Information Technology Department. The role involves accurate tracking, accountability, and lifecycle oversight of IT assets while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with county standards and policies.

Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement coordination, receiving, tagging, inventory tracking, deployment status, recovery, and disposition
Maintain accurate, auditable records of hardware, software, and related technology assets using approved asset management and inventory systems
Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and IT teams to ensure assets are properly ordered, received, recorded, and distributed
Be responsible for asset recovery processes related to employee separations, device refresh cycles, equipment replacements, and surplus returns
Coordinate secure disposal of technology assets, including data sanitization, certification of destruction, and compliance with records retention and security requirements
Conduct regular asset inventories and audits; reconcile discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed
Develop and deliver asset reports and metrics to support budgeting, forecasting, lifecycle planning, audits, and leadership reporting
Develop, document, and maintain asset management procedures, standards, and workflows
Serve as the main point of contact for asset-related inquiries and coordination across IT programs and supported departments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field
Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in asset management, inventory administration, procurement support, or a related operational IT role
Experience maintaining asset records and inventories using asset management or service management systems
Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large volumes of asset data accurately
Ability to interpret and apply policies, standards, and compliance requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical team members
NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for the required qualifications
Preferred
Experience leading assets in a government or regulated environment
Familiarity with ITIL-aligned asset and configuration management practices
Understanding of data security principles, records retention requirements, and secure technology disposal practices
Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or lifecycle replacement planning
Ability to function effectively in a collaborative work environment and build strong working relationships across teams
Demonstrated ability to improve operational effectiveness through standardization, documentation, and process improvement
