Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of PR campaigns and media strategies
Develop and implement strategic media pitches for BRAVE Books authors and partners, securing high-impact guest appearances across TV, radio, podcasts, and online media
Reach out to media for booking and follow-up to secure coverage
Work with the social media team to ensure media interviews are maximized
Track media coverage and prepare reports and summaries
Coordinate logistics for interviews, events, and press opportunities
Draft outreach lists, talking points, and media kits for Talent
Conduct research on new, relevant media outlets and opportunities to expand our reach within faith-based and family-friendly channels
Monitor news and trends relevant to the brand
Support crisis communications and rapid-response efforts when needed
Provide “outside of the box” ideas to advance the brand through PR
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Professional, proactive, and comfortable communicating with internal teams and external partners
Creative thinker with the ability to develop fresh ideas and approach challenges from new or unconventional perspectives
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Preferred experience in PR, communications, or a related role (internships included)
Experience pitching to media or influencers
Basic understanding of brand messaging and positioning
Familiarity with social media platforms
Interest in the children's entertainment and publishing space
