Responsibilities

Conduct root cause analysis and prepare reports for management use
Provide primary or backup technical support for various plant system and processes
Utilize experience, knowledge, and online monitoring systems and tools to analyze, trend, and monitor plant equipment performance data in an effort to improve plant operation
Provide technical support to maintenance, outage, and capital projects
Technical Lead on specific / complex projects
Support equipment problem solving, condition assessments, and represent Entergy during OEM discussions or shop repairs. May engage in the review of diagnostic services (vibration analysis, off-line motor testing, Infra-red, performance testing, vacuum leak-detection, etc.) done by a 3rd party

Required

High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in all applications of the Microsoft Toolkit
Must possess good computer skills
Ability to work independent of direct supervision
Good communication skills also required
Duties often require call outs and work after normal hours
Be able to keep records and reports

Preferred

Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or B.S. Degree in Science in a technical field
Tech Support Specialist I: 0-2 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred
Tech Support Specialist II: 2-4 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred
Tech Support Specialist III: 4-6 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred
Tech Support Specialist Sr: 6+ years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred
