Responsibilities

Advises General Counsel on relevant legal issues regarding Workers’ Compensation Operations

Provides timely and suitable legal review and advice to assigned workers’ compensation recovery teams

Ensures that possible adverse suits and legal matters towards clients and Company are handled appropriately

Provides training in relevant legal issues as assigned to new and current analysts

Communicates with Workers’ Compensation Analysts as needed with information and guidance regarding new court decisions, statutes, and regulations and the potential impact on file handling

Required

Juris Doctorate from an approved ABA law school

License to practice law in any state. California license a plus

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a keen ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization

Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
