The Engineering Technician - Machinist internship is designed to prepare interns for a full-time role by providing hands-on experience in a fast-paced prototype shop, where they will assist in the fabrication of prototype parts and learn about various machining processes.

Responsibilities
Assist model shop Manager/personnel in the fabrication and limited production of prototype parts used by the R&D engineering project teams
Operation of CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Manual Mill, and/or Manual Lathe
Inspection of completed parts
Maintenance of machinery equipment
Keep a clean and organized work area
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in Machine Tool Technology program or experience of working as a Machinist
Mechanical and Technical capacity
Experience operating a variety of machine shop tools, including lathes, milling machines, water jets, lasers, press brakes, and welders
Ability to read drawings
Comply with all safety requirements of a machine shop
SolidWorks CAD knowledge required
Ability to lift material weighing upwards of 40 lbs
Local to Minnesota or able to relocate without assistance to the Minnetonka, MN area
Preferred
3D printing experience highly desired
