Senior PHP Developer

StationMD is a telehealth company dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain core applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

Development of robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications using PHP and Laravel
Collaborate with product managers and other developers to define and implement new features
Write clean, well-tested, and efficient code following best practices and design patterns
Integrate features using Vue.js for a modern and responsive user interface
Implement and maintain automated testing and quality assurance tools like PHPStan and Larastan to ensure code quality and stability
Proactively address security vulnerabilities using tools like Snyk
Manage source control efficiently using Git, including advanced branching strategies and code reviews
Develop and maintain Bitbucket Pipelines and other automation workflows for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing and code standards
Ability to work, on occasion, nights and weekends to support software releases, updates, and emergency outages

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on back-end technologies
Expert-level proficiency with the PHP language and the Laravel framework
Strong working knowledge and experience with Vue.js, React, and CSS for front-end development
Proven experience integrating security tools like Snyk into the development workflow
Strong knowledge of Git (e.g., rebase, cherry-pick, resolving complex conflicts)
Experience configuring and managing Bitbucket automation/Pipelines for CI/CD
Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and eloquent ORM
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred

Professional certifications in secure software development optional but preferred (ex: CSSLP)
