The Multi-Site Electrical Training Instructor will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in technical skills training, evaluating knowledge retention and coordinating the internal apprenticeship program to enhance employee safety and compliance training.

Responsibilities

Conduct training and training evaluations through ample knowledge of electrical standards of practice

Evaluate the skill level and competency of new hires and existing linemen who are progressing through the apprenticeship program

Instruct and evaluate field employees on compliance related to company, customer and federal/state regulatory requirements

Verify that all employees receive proper instruction on safety and technical skills

Advance the safety culture of the workforce through engagement and demonstrations of the Core Values in practical application

Seek out opportunities to improve training content and delivery methods

Employ learning theory strategies to maximize training for all types of learners and skill levels

Develop and manage training/evaluation atmosphere conducive to proven adult learning and classroom management techniques

Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

Required

HS Diploma or GED required; degree or professional accreditation preferred

10+ years electric transmission and/or distribution construction experience required. Prior training experience must be present within this requirement

Ability to travel for overnight stays and experience arranging own travel

Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, smart phone and tablet applications

Must have excellent computer and organizational skills

Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing

Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments

Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
