New Grad, Entry LevelApexCore Technologies is seeking a Welder for their Prolec-GE Waukesha division. The role involves proficiently welding in various areas and ensuring quality production by interpreting engineering prints and adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities
Receive assignments and instructions from supervisor - both verbal and written
Select proper rods, wire, and machine adjustments for welding operation setup for the job at hand from storage or queuing areas
Perform setup and all position welding operations on carbon steel and stainless steel structures and weldments fabricated for transformer construction
Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth by E.I.s, M.P.s, S.P.s, O.I.C.s, and blueprints when performing assigned work
Use tape measures, rules, squares and templates as necessary to perform the required operation and produce a quality product
Use appropriate techniques to perform MIG, TIG, and submerged-arc welding, to perform oxi-acetylene cutting and brazing, and to perform stainless steel and stainless steel to mild steel welding ability
Read and interpret engineering prints and weld symbols
Perform proper cleaning of welds as necessary
Keep tools, equipment and work area clean and orderly
Perform minor equipment repairs and machine maintenance
Inspector welding processes, materials, etc. for conformance to design criteria and applicable specifications and inspection procedures
Produce product accurately within the established standard
Assist supervisor, as required, in the orientation and training of other employees
Comply with all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in defined zero harm safety culture driven initiatives
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Proficient in welding in at least one of the following areas: Tank Weld, Clamp Weld, Top Cover Weld, Small Parts
Ability to perform setup and all position welding operations on carbon steel and stainless steel structures
Ability to read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth by E.I.s, M.P.s, S.P.s, O.I.C.s, and blueprints
Ability to use tape measures, rules, squares and templates
Ability to perform MIG, TIG, and submerged-arc welding, oxi-acetylene cutting and brazing
Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and weld symbols
