Systems Administrator III

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers
Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
Schedule installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels
Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing appropriate software and hardware solutions
Ensure data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations
Develop and promote standard operating procedures
Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards and configurations
Develop and maintain comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration databases
Support analytical tool infrastructure
Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
Respond to and resolve critical incidents within designated resolution timelines

Required

Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
US Citizenship is required
Experience with virtualization technologies
Understanding of security requirements in government environment
Bachelor's degree or master's degree with 8 years of experience of experience OR Associate degree with 11 years of experience OR High School/Diploma with 14 years of experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration
Proficiency level with: Complex multi-enclave environments
Advanced system security hardening
High-availability system configurations
Disaster recovery planning and implementation
Advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution
System automation and orchestration
Performance optimization techniques
Capacity planning and resource management

Preferred

Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Configuration management tools
LDAP/OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak
Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms
DevSecOps practices and tools
SAFe Agile methodologies
