Responsibilities
Cut, fit, and join metal components to build various store fixtures and retail equipment
Read and use tape measures, protractors, and engineered drawings to ensure welds meet exact specifications
Set up and adjust welding machines according to gauge and product requirements; may also operate manual or semi-automatic equipment
Inspect final products for quality, maintain a clean work area, and strictly follow safety protocols while wearing PPE (helmets, respirators, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Requires 1–2 years of production-setting MIG welding experience or formal technical training
Candidates must pass a Madix-specific weld test
Proficiency in basic math, including fractions and angles, is essential for accurate measuring and cutting
Preferred
AWS or ASME certifications are preferred but not always required
