Responsibilities
Monitor software applications for proper functioning
Analyze application issues and problems and provide resolution
Ability to assess impact of updates and/or changes to existing system configurations
Communicate technical issues to technical support staffs to resolve application and hardware issues
Compile metrics to ensure operational performance and control objectives are met or exceeded
Develops clear and concise documentation and instruction manuals and updates them as needed
Support batch processing automation using enterprise scheduling tools
Assist in developing and maintaining automated workflows
Write and maintain basic scripts for operational tasks (PowerShell, Python)
Support change management processes and documentation
Perform SQL queries for operational data analysis and validation
Participate in overnight support rotation for critical business processes
Assist in implementing and testing automated monitoring solutions
Support audit and compliance requirements for operational processes
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in a related area
2-5 years' experience in process improvement and operational efficiencies or related experience
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures of technical support
Strong critical thinking and software data analysis skills
Experience with automation tools and batch scheduling
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python)
SQL query writing and database fundamentals
Understanding of change management principles
Experience with system monitoring tools
Ability to work rotating shifts including overnight coverage
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
2-5 years' experience in process improvement and operational efficiencies or related experience
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python)
Knowledge of IT security best practices
