Financial Analyst [3 Positions]
Ohio Department of Public Safety is seeking Financial Analysts to support the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The role involves reviewing and auditing accounting transactions, providing fiscal guidance, and conducting reconciliations of records.

Responsibilities
Review, audit & code daily accounting transactions for entry into Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS)
Post transactions &/or payments
Provides guidance to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) sections & district staff on fiscal matters
Conducts complex reconciliation of records, monitoring expenditure &/or threshold amounts
Prepare daily deposits &/or enter deposits into OAKS
Process Intra-State Transfer Vouchers (ISTV) for reimbursements
Utilize Quickbooks Pro or similar software to perform various fiscal functions
Qualification
Required
30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; AND 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software
12 mos. exp. as Financial Associate, 66561
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above
Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience
