They are seeking a Machinist to ensure the reliability of aviation repair and maintenance by machining products to tight tolerances and verifying dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities

Machine products to tight tolerances

Reads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed

Verifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers

Computes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work pieces

Adjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operators

Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements

Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality

Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy

Observing all applicable safety practices

Carries out other duties as assigned
